The Company:
For over thirty-eight years, Japanese Community Youth Council (JCYC) has fulfilled its mission to cultivate and enrich the lives of children and youth from diverse, multi-cultural communities throughout San Francisco and beyond.![]()
JCYC’s goal was to use Salesforce as an effective donor and programs management database. This initiative involved the following departments:
- Development
- Youth Programs (multiple)
- Human Resources
The Challenge:
ENPIO suggested that JCYC use Salesforce to enhance their high-touch relationship with donors, corporate and event sponsors. JCYC offers programs to young people in the community and also needed a better method of tracking intake, participation, and payment status for multiple programs. Finally, because JCYC manages the employment of many young people, it needed a system that can track emergency contact and human resource information.
The Solution:
JCYC worked with Ray Simon to analyze their business processes, customize Salesforce to meet development and programs management needs, import data, and train their staff.
The solution developed for JCYC provided the following:
- Creating mailing list reports
- Tracking donations, sponsorships, event income, campaign income
- Tracking and reporting program participation and payment status
- Tracking insurance and other HR related information
- Engaging a comprehensive security scheme to protect sensitive information
What The Client Said:
“Salesforce is a great tool for us because it is flexible and comprehensive. It provides an accurate donor profile, helps us track information across different departments, and run several programs”.
